Zero-G Flight
Additional flight training includes “Zero-G” flights. These are performed to simulate the sensations of flying in space. Traditionally, the maneuvers needed to achieve weightlessness were done in the “Vomit Comet” passenger jet flown by NASA or other expensive companies, but we are able to perform maneuvers in our twin engine aircraft as well for a very competitive, and of course, safe cost. The student will float in the cabin during the zero g maneuver and will be weightless. The duration of these maneuvers are apx. 10 seconds each compared to apx. 20 seconds with the airliner type jets.
Again, consider the fact that there might be other companies offering flights in larger aircraft where you are one of many flyers, but because of our smaller size, there is actually more room for you to enjoy a fully customizable experience!
We can offer medication to prevent any motion sickness so you can enjoy the experience without having to worry about getting airsick, or anyone around you for that matter…
Typically, we do 10-12 of these maneuvers so you will have up to a couple of minutes of total weightless time during the flight. We start the maneuvers with a 1/3 gravity “Mars” gravity maneuver and a 1/6 “Moon” gravity maneuver before the zero gravity ones. Then we can suggest more maneuvers or you can call the shots, whether it is to play, research, film, etc–as long as it is all safe. At all times, you will be closely monitored by our in-flight coach, and we can film and photograph you during the flight if you wish.
Per FAA regulations, all passengers will be seated and safely belted in for takeoff and landing.
